What you’ll do
In this role, you will operate our spacecraft for Rendezvous, Proximity Operations, and Docking (RPOD) across all mission phases - LEOP, commissioning, RPO maneuvers, docking, and post-docking operations - developing and executing the procedures that run each phase.
You will be responsible for operations preparation and execution including writing and validating nominal and contingency procedures, validating them against flight-like scenarios, performing anomaly investigation and recovery and developing overall operations infrastructure to support the mission.
Responsibilities
- Develop spacecraft mission operations plans, including nominal operations procedures and contingency procedures
- Meticulously test and validate both manual and automated procedures
- Conduct in-depth analysis of subsystems and payload performance. Document the findings in comprehensive reports
- Investigate anomalies, prepare and execute recovery operations as needed and participate in spacecraft on-call support
- Coordinate with flight dynamics, ground software support and subsystem teams to raise issues, gather required input
What we look for
Minimum requirements
- 2+ years of experience in space mission operation, operations preparation, understanding of ground segment and mission control systems
- Proficiency in atleast one programming language (Python / Java / C++)
- Experience in conducting system validation tests, including the incorporation of flight-like scenarios into the test environment
- Strong technical documentation and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior operational mission support or flight dynamics experience
- Understanding of satellite systems and subsystem interdependencies
- Experience across the full lifecycle of LEO spacecraft missions
